For all his young life, Rudolph is told to hide his shiny nose and feel ashamed of it. After being rejected by Santa's Reindeer, Rudolph goes on a journey to find a place that accepts him. But when a storm threatens Santa's sleigh from taking off, it's up to Rudolph to save Christmas, and he learns that what makes him different is what makes him special.

Jean Shepherd’s beloved holiday classic follows 9-year-old Ralphie Parker’s quest for a genuine Red Ryder BB gun, despite warnings that he’ll “shoot his eye out!” Along the way are all the memorable moments from the film: Scut Farkas, the frozen tongue, the Little Orphan Annie decoder pin, the exploding furnace, the leg lamp, and Ralphie’s unforgettable fantasies.
