The tremendous impact of the pandemic on schools has intensified the need to make high-quality digital learning content available to all students at any time from any place. As public education and the rest of society begin moving toward a post-pandemic future, assuring that young people from all backgrounds have real-world opportunities to understand and prepare for tomorrow’s careers today is particularly crucial. This request ensures that every student will have access to career and technical education content, aligned to national standards, that will equip them with the skills and certifications necessary to enter into the skilled trade workforce immediately upon graduation. Providing our region’s young people with this early advantage will help them build fruitful and rewarding careers that keep them rooted in western Pennsylvania, thus benefiting all taxpayers by building up and sustaining the local economy and tax base for generations to come.
